Janome - Darning Foot and Plate - 767409012

Janome - Darning Foot and Plate - 767409012

High Shank Screw On, +Raised Feed Dog Cover Plate

Use with: 763, 806, DBJ628, DBJ701, DBJ706, DBJ707, DBJ708, DBJ806, 1600(P, DB, DBX, Q), HD Series

For the machines that do no not have a separate feed dog cover accessory; instead, you cover the feed dogs by swapping the standard needle plate for a darning/free-motion quilting plate that comes with the free-motion accessory set. This special plate has no feed dogs and is used for activities like darning, free-motion quilting, and sewing on buttons where you want to control the fabric's movement manually.

How it works: The standard plate is removed, and the specialized free-motion/darning plate is attached in its place.

Why you need it: This replaces the function of dropping the feed dogs

How to use it: To use it, remove the current needle plate, insert the new plate with its nubs fitting into the two small circles on the machine's throat plate, and push it down until it clicks.
